Compete, Strategize, and Win: Master Business Decisions in the Business Odyssey Simulatio
The Business Odyssey simulation challenges students to successfully lead and manage the production and sales of a line of vehicles.
There are two versions of this simulation that feature different customer profiles: Low-Cost and Image.
The Image version seeks to create a product for which customers are willing to pay a premium price.
Students work in teams to run a business line that produces and sells high-end cars.
Each team competes to become the market leader in a highly competitive environment while remaining financially sound, keeping employee morale high, and carbon emissions low.
Based on their understanding of the target audience, students create a value proposition by making decisions about product features, brand image, pricing, and efficiency of the selling network.
They must then develop a marketing strategy that integrates their value proposition and leverages available data to try reach prospective consumers and to turn them into customers.
Students must also forecast sales to satisfy the demand generated from their marketing activities. Through this simulation, students learn how to develop and execute a marketing strategy and measure its efficiency.
