Together with its key customers, Mega Learning has developed a new learning solution that integrates Company projects with general management and leadership training programs.
Program description
The program is built around face-to-face module(s) combined with exercises outside the face-to-face seminar. Prior to attending the module, participants complete questionnaires to define individual leadership profiles. Then the face-to-face module blends different learning methodologies, integrates lectures, a business simulation and the launch of critical company projects. Team decisions are made face-to-face and also remotely within the simulation. Projects are conducted only remotely. The simulation and the projects conclusions can be presented either during a second face-to-face module or through videoconference or to some higher management people in small groups.
Key objectives of the business simulation are:
Sharpen business wisdom.
Give the participants the opportunity to work as a team, to define a company strategy and understand the company's financial results.
Put the participants in a collaborative and competitively risk-free environment.
Define and practice a decision process, taking into account the individual leadership styles.
Project key objectives:
Address a real-world client issue or business situation that needs to be solved.
Using technological tools rather than face-to-face meetings to learn about a “virtual mode” of cooperation and be able to effectively lead “stretched” teams.
Create knowledge-sharing and strengthen the links between the various departments in the company.
Key success factors:
Connect the learning experience to real-world situations.
Teams are built face-to-face. Trust is established from the beginning.
Each project team has an internal facilitator and an executive sponsor.
A half-day session is organized for the team facilitators only.
The work breakdown structure of the project, the timeline and milestones, the organization of the team are defined face-to-face.
An external coach from Mega Learning is available for the simulation and the project during the face-to-face phase and remote phase.
Remote decisions for the business simulation create and maintain a high level of commitment.
Precise schedule and resynchronization activities are planned in advance both for the simulation and the project.
Working remotely on the project and the simulation at the same time creates synergies in the action learning process. These synergies are achieved through well structured templates that ensure an explicit and systematic decision process that can be replicated in the project.
Using similar web-based collaboration tools for the simulation and for the projects.
